School Uniform

You will be aware from the most recent edition of Contact that the School Governors have given permission to extend the uniform range. The extended range was displayed and explained to students in Assemblies recently.

The extended range has been welcomed enthusiastically by the students. For this reason we have agreed that they can start to wear some of the new items as soon as they are available through the local supplier, Stitch-a-Logo. Extended Uniform

We are pleased to announce that we are now offering an extended uniform range to allow our students some choice in how they dress for school. By offering this extension of a range of uniform items, we will be encouraging the students to wear the chosen items correctly with the overall effect of a consistently smarter appearance within and beyond the school. The additional items when participating in Sport and PE not only will provide a smarter appearance, but will also offer more suitable clothing for various weather conditions.

Principles with the Extended Uniform We will retain the school colours of black, white and old gold.  Parents/Carers who have a particular commitment to the perceived values of students wearing a shirt and tie can maintain this, and may wish to consider a school blazer which would complete a traditional type of uniform. Parents/Carers are not required to purchase any additional garments should this be their choice. The only change would be for the round necked sweatshirt replacing the current V shaped sweatshirt over time. There is no requirement to purchase the full range, and parents/carers can negotiate which is most suitable for their own children. Parents/Carers can purchase a wider range over time to respond to the seasons or the degree of their child’s commitment over time to some better quality garments and the optional PE layers.
